Cooks and delivers medically tailored meals to neighbors with serious illness. Volunteers chop, package, and label in the SoHo kitchen. Iconic NYC volunteer experience.
5. Bowery Mission
Lower East Side
Serves meals and operates shelters for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness. Meal-service shifts are 2–3 hours.
6. Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen

One of the largest soup kitchens in the U.S. Volunteers serve lunch to 1,000+ guests weekday mornings.
